  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • Kosher salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp chicken base
  • 4 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • Optional: 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook chicken in olive oil for about 5 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower heat and melt butter in the skillet, then add the chicken base.

  5. Gradually whisk in chicken stock and water, simmering until thickened.
  6. If desired, stir in heavy cream for extra richness before adding shredded chicken back to the gravy.
