Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 12 oz sirloin or ribeye steak
  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and toss with butter.
  2. Pat the steak and shrimp dry. Season the steak generously on both sides with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Season the shrimp with the remaining Cajun seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing into strips.
  4. In the same skillet used for the steak, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Quickly cook the shrimp for about 1-2 minutes per side until opaque and slightly crispy. Remove them from heat and set aside.
  5. Lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter along with minced garlic into the skillet. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream while stirring continuously.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let simmer until thickened to your desired consistency (about 3-4 minutes).
  7. Toss in cooked fettuccine along with fresh parsley into the sauce mixture. Stir well to coat all ingredients evenly.
  8. Top your creamy pasta with sliced blackened steak and cooked shrimp. Spoon any remaining sauce over top, garnish with extra parsley and black pepper if desired.
