  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup dry white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise; season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then coat in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown; transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter, sliced mushrooms, and Italian seasoning; cook until mushrooms release moisture.
  4. Stir in minced garlic; cook briefly before adding white apple vinegar. Allow to reduce by half.
  5. Add heavy cream and return chicken to the pan; cook until chicken is done and sauce thickens slightly.
