  • 1 1/2 tsp arrowroot
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 3/4 cup vegan butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup raw cane sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, arrowroot, and sea salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together vegan butter, brown sugar, and raw cane sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the large egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  5. Slowly incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just blended.
  6. Gently fold in dairy-free chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
