  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Easter M&Ms or candy-coated chocolate eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and half of the Easter candies.
  7. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets; press remaining candies on top for decoration.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden while centers remain soft.
  9. Cool on pans for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
