  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chinese rice apple vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon five spice powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • White sesame seeds and sliced scallion for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse and cut the chicken into small pieces; pat dry.
  2. Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, five spice powder, white pepper, and honey; add chicken and toss to coat.
  4. Let the chicken marinate for 30 minutes.
  5. Thread marinated chicken onto soaked skewers (3-4 pieces each).
  6. Preheat grill over medium-high heat; cook skewers until fully cooked and slightly charred (about 10 minutes), brushing with oil occasionally.
