  • 4 boneless skinless salmon fillets (about 7oz each)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 12 cloves garlic (finely diced)
  • 1/21 tsp chili flakes
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Olive oil (for cooking)
  • Optional: Finely diced spring onion (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add salmon, skin-side down, and cook for about 3 minutes until golden crust forms. Flip and cook for another minute.
  3. Move the salmon to the top of the pan. Add butter to the bottom; tilt the pan to baste the salmon for about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Lower the heat, add garlic and chili flakes, cooking briefly until fragrant. Stir in honey, vinegar, and soy sauce; simmer until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  5. Return salmon to the pan, coating it with sauce before serving. Garnish with spring onions if desired.
