Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or chicken
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated flaky biscuit dough
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or chicken until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, oregano, and half of the beef broth; simmer until fragrant.
  4. Separate and flatten each biscuit; fill with the meat mixture and cheese before folding over like a pocket.
  5. Place filled biscuits seam-side down in the baking dish; brush with melted butter if desired. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Heat remaining beef broth in a pot for dipping; serve biscuits hot.
