  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F or 43°C)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing warm water, yeast, and 1 tsp of sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine the activated yeast mixture with the sweetened condensed milk and vegetable oil; mix well.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf or rolls, place in greased pans, cover again, and allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
