  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Slowly pour in brewed coffee.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Drizzle half the caramel sauce over the batter, then add the remaining batter on top. Drizzle more caramel over it.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean (or slightly gooey). Cool slightly before serving.
