  • 150 grams (¾ cup) sugar for filling
  • 100 grams (1 cup) all-purpose flour for filling
  • 2 large eggs for filling
  • 180 grams (¾ cup) butter for filling
  • Icing sugar or your favorite garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk eggs, water, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until you have a smooth batter. Pour into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for about 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool on a rack.
  5. For the creamy filling, heat milk and sugar until dissolved. In another bowl, whisk flour and eggs together smoothly.
  6. Temper the egg mixture with hot milk before returning to heat until thickened.
  7. Once cooled, layer the creamy filling between cake slices or on top and dust with icing sugar before serving.
