  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain.
  2. Toss shrimp with 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until cooked; set aside.
  4. Lower the heat and add butter and garlic to the skillet; cook until fragrant (1–2 minutes).
  5. Stir in lemon juice, zest, remaining Old Bay seasoning, red pepper flakes if using, and reserved pasta water.
  6. Combine cooked pasta and shrimp in the skillet, tossing to coat evenly.
  7. Serve hot garnished with parsley.
