  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp crushed chili flakes
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 cups water
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil (vegetable or sesame)

Instructions

  1. Rinse basmati rice under cold water until clear. In a pot, combine rice, 2 cups water, and a pinch of salt. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until fluffy.
  2. Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat; add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add diced chicken and cook until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
  3. Stir in chopped onion and bell peppers; stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, crushed chili flakes, and ground black pepper; toss to coat evenly for about 2 minutes.
  5. Serve hot alongside fluffy basmati rice.
