  • 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. For the brownie layer, cream together room temperature butter, light brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in flour and baking powder until just combined.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter with white sugar, cocoa powder, red food coloring, vanilla extract, vinegar, and eggs. Fold in flour until thick.
