  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until fluffy (2-3 minutes).

  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until no flour streaks remain; expect a soft dough.
  6. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
