  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (3.4-oz) package chocolate instant pudding
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 3/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 1 c. semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 c. peanut butter, warmed
  • 1 c. chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan generously with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the chocolate cake mix, instant pudding mix, eggs, water, melted butter, and vegetable oil until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean, about 45 minutes.
  5. Let the cake cool in the pan for only 10 minutes, then invert onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
  6. Using a hand mixer, beat together softened butter and peanut butter until combined; add powdered sugar and heavy cream; beat until smooth. Transfer filling to a large piping bag.
  7. Carefully place the cooled cake back in the bundt pan and scoop out 8 large holes around the bottom of the cake, ensuring not to cut all the way through.
  8. Pipe filling into each hole on the bottom of the cake; carefully invert the filled cake onto a serving platter.
  9. Drizzle with melted chocolate and warmed peanut butter using a spoon; sprinkle topped with chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for an extra touch!
