  • 4 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (diced small)
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries (diced small) for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam for glaze
  • 2 ½ cups powdered sugar for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease two doughnut pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently fold in diced strawberries.
  5. Spoon the batter into the doughnut pans until about ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling on a wire rack before glazing.
