  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
  3. Fold in shredded Swiss cheese and crumbled turkey bacon until evenly distributed.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan and press firmly into shape.
  5. Mix ketchup and brown sugar in a small bowl; spread over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
