  • 3¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 package instant dry yeast (8 grams)
  • ⅓ cup ube halaya jam
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅔ cup confection sugar

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and combine it with yeast in a stand mixer bowl; let sit until frothy.
  2. Mix in egg, butter, and sugar until well combined. Gradually add flour and salt while mixing.
  3. Knead the dough using a dough hook until slightly sticky.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for about 30 minutes.
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and ube halaya jam.
  6. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly across it.
  7. Roll tightly into a log and cut into nine equal pieces.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking pan and let rise again for another 30 minutes.
  9. Pour heavy cream over the rolls, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 21-23 minutes.
  10. Prepare cream cheese frosting by whipping together softened butter, cream cheese, vanilla extract, salt, and confection sugar until smooth.
  11. Spread frosting over warm rolls before serving.
