  • 3 slices thick-cut turkey bacon
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 ribs celery
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup beef steak
  • 2 skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 can diced tomatoes and chilies
  • 1 pound pasta (Farfalle or Penne)
  • 11/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • 3 sprigs fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. In a large Dutch oven, cook chopped turkey bacon with chopped onion, bell pepper, and celery over medium-high heat until softened.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  3. Add cubed beef steak and brown for about 20–25 minutes.
  4. Mix in cubed chicken and diced tomatoes with chilies, seasoning with Creole spices and thyme; cook for another 15–20 minutes.
  5. Pour in water, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and browning sauce; simmer for another 20 minutes.
  6. Stir in dry pasta and bring to a boil before pressing noodles into the liquid.
  7. Cover with a lid and bake in a preheated oven at 300°F for one hour; let sit off heat for an additional 10 minutes before serving.
