  • 1 box strawberry cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp strawberry extract
  • Red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix and eggs. Add vegetable oil and beat until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix cream cheese until creamy; fold in half of the cake batter.
  4. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and pour half of the plain batter into it.
  5. Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the plain batter and sprinkle with half of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  6. Pour remaining cake batter on top, add remaining cream cheese mixture, and finish with more brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. While baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, strawberry extract, and red food coloring for glaze.
  9. Once baked, let cool slightly before drizzling with glaze.
