  • 3-pound whole chicken
  • BBQ Chicken Rub (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 can beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high indirect heat at about 375°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, prepare your BBQ Chicken rub.
  3. Rinse the chicken under cold water, then remove giblets and pat dry. Pour out half of the beef broth and place the chicken upright over the can.
  4. Season the cavity of the chicken with 1 teaspoon of seasoning.
  5. Gently lift the skin and rub seasoning between the skin and meat; then rub remaining seasoning over the surface.
  6. Place the chicken on the cool side of the grill and close the lid. Cook for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes until juices run clear.
  7. Remove from grill, discard the can, cover with foil, and rest for 10 minutes before serving.
