  • 12 oz chow mein noodles (uncooked)
  • 2 cups cabbage
  • 1 large carrot (julienned)
  • 1/2 batch green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 Tbsp oyster sauce (or alternative)
  • 3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp light sesame oil (not toasted)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. Cut chicken into bite-sized strips and cook until golden brown; remove from pan.
  4. In the same pan, sauté julienned carrots, cabbage, and minced garlic until softened.
  5. Return chicken and noodles to the pan; pour prepared sauce over everything and stir to coat. Cook for an additional two minutes.
