  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • a few drops Blue gel food coloring (or alternatives like butterfly pea powder)
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup Mini chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese (softened; or vegan alternative)
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Crushed chocolate cookies
  • to taste Extra mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it bubble for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Mix in sugar, egg, melted butter, salt, and vanilla extract. Gradually stir in flour until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let rise in a greased bowl covered with plastic wrap until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. Prepare filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, crushed cookies, and mini chocolate chips.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread filling evenly over it.
  6. Roll tightly from one edge to form a log; slice into equal pieces and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
