  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  2. Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over them, ensuring each piece is coated well. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat while the chicken marinates.
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade (reserve excess marinade) and place it on the grill. Grill for 6–8 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  5. Baste the chicken with reserved marinade while grilling to enhance flavor.
  6. Use a meat thermometer to check that internal temperature reaches 165°F before removing from the grill.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and garnish with chopped green onions.
