Ingredients
Scale
1 1/4 pounds ground turkey (mix of white meat and dark meat)
1/2 cup minced sweet onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 cloves minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes (crushed)
Fresh ground pepper to taste
2 tablespoons panko bread crumbs
1 egg (slightly beaten)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, onion, basil, parsley, garlic, salt, thyme, ginger, red pepper flakes, panko bread crumbs, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least one hour (or overnight) to let the flavors meld.
Shape the chilled mixture into 12 patties (about 2.5 inches in diameter).
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for about 2 minutes on each side until browned.
Reduce heat to medium-low and cover the skillet. Cook for an additional 6 minutes or until fully cooked through.
