  • 8 ounces manicotti shells
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 1 jar (26 ounces) pasta sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the manicotti shells for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan, garlic, egg, and basil. Mix well.
  4. Carefully stuff each manicotti noodle with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread about 2 cups of pasta sauce in the bottom of the baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells on top and cover with remaining sauce. Sprinkle leftover mozzarella on top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
