  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 can cherry pie filling (21 ounces)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour for crumble
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar for crumble
  • 6 tablespoons light brown sugar for crumble
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt for crumble
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly for crumble
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk for glaze
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract for glaze

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water with sugar and yeast; let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine yeast mixture with half the vegetable oil, flour, and salt to form dough.
  3. Let dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and prepare a pizza pan with parchment paper.
  5. Shape dough on the pan and bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Brush melted butter-sugar mixture on the crust; spread cherry filling evenly.
  7. Prepare crumble by mixing flour, sugars, salt, and melted butter until clumpy; sprinkle over filling.
  8. Bake for another 13-15 minutes until topping is golden.
  9. Mix glaze ingredients together; drizzle over warm pizza before serving.
